Hours Per Week 7.5 hours

Who is it for? Anyone interested in a career in Nails. No Prior knowledge necessary
Course Aims To prepare candidate for working in the Nail Industry.
Course Content The course will focus on the practical and theoretical elements of beauty therapy. There will be lessons dedicated to the practical treatments and classroom based activities.
During the course you will cover topics including:

 

Monitor procedures to safely control work operations

• Enhance and maintain nails using UV gel

• Enhance and maintain nails using liquid and powder

• Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business

• Enhance and maintain nails using wraps

• Plan and create nail art designs

• Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities

 

   
  Optional Units Include;
• Develop a range of creative nail images

• Plan and provide airbrush designs for nails

• Prepare and finish nail overlays using electric files
All students will enter the annual Hair & Beauty Awards/fashion show with their own make up design.

Who is it for? Anyone interested in a career in Beauty Therapy and the makeup industry. No Prior knowledge necessary
Course Aims To prepare candidate for working in the Beauty Industry/Makeup Industry
Course Content The course will focus on the practical and theoretical elements of beauty therapy. There will be lessons dedicated to the practical treatments and classroom based activities.
During the course you will cover topics including:
Monitor procedures to safely control work operations

Contribute to the planning and implementation of promotional activities

Design and create Fashion & Photographic Makeup

Specialist Skin Camouflage

 

   
  Optional Units Include;
Plan and provide airbrush make-up

Provide body electrical treatments

Provide facial electrical treatments

Provide single eyelash extension treatments

Provide self-tanning services

Provide female intimate waxing services

Provide body massage treatments

Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business

Provide Indian Head massage

Carry out massage using pre-blended aromatherapy oils

Provide stone therapy treatments
