Is your Course Industry Recognised?

Whether its something you’ve always wanted to do, have recently been made redundant or would like a career that fits around your home life, its no surprise that Beauty and Beauty related courses are more popular than ever.

But how do you know which is best for you? This can depend on the time and budget you have.

At True Beauty Academy we offer a number of ways to gain the proper industry recognised qualifications you require. Let’s look at your options;

Accredited Courses

We offer accredited courses by The Guild of Beauty Therapists and BABTAC, who have looked at our courses and our teaching and assessment methods and deemed our courses suitable to be insured.  These courses are suitable for anyone wishing to work for themselves or in a salon. The Guild and BABTAC are well respected and recognised in the Beauty Industry for their standards of training. All our courses also come with CPD Points for existing therapist wishing to refresh their skills. Accredited courses can be completed at a time that suits you and can last from half a day up to 5 days dependant on the course you take. Funding isn’t available for these courses.

‘I’ve found a place on the internet who offer training, how do I know if my Course is Accredited?’

Training Providers offering accredited courses should always state who their courses are accredited by and the professional bodies they belong to, once you know you can also check this is correct by contacting them and checking the training provider is listed. The training provider should also be listed on websites of the company they are accredited by, normally with their full contact details and directions on how to get there. The logo of the insurance company should also be on their certificates and their social media and website. A certificate of attendance is NOT  the same as being certified in your chosen subject.

These are nationally and internationally recognised qualifications.   They are issued by an awarding body and consist of showing competence, knowledge and understanding of the subject through portfolio building, multi choice tests and practical assessments.  True Beauty Academy offer  NVQ/VRQ qualifications through City and Guilds.

Some salons may specify an NVQ or VRQ qualification. In which case True Beauty offers NVQ/VRQ add on qualifications. These are called a unit of credit*.
